Good Quality for the money
I used these on a HPI Sprint 2 Drift, charged it at 3.8a , took a little over an hour, but maxed out at 4200mAH, i got two, and both ran for 1 hour of solid power drifting, compared to Orion rocket pack, these are good for beginners, cheap, good quality, and good power constant power.

A Kid's Review
I bought a 3000 mAH Tenergy NiMH battery at $17 and this 3800 mAH Tenergy battery at $23; 35% higher price.

When we ran our radio controlled boat at full throttle with each battery fully charged, we got only 12% longer run time on the 3800 mAH Tenergy battery instead of the 27% longer run time one would expect from the 3800 mAH rating.

So I plan to buy the 3000 mAH Tenergy in the future as it's a much better value and the 12% greater run time we experienced is inconsistent with the 3800 mAH claim for this more expensive battery.
3000 mAH Tenergy is a better value for actual capacity
these batteries are bad A S S! i have 6 of them for my rc10 t4 they run over an hour SOLID!!

RC truck
This is not a toy for children. It is geared toward teens and adults. My son broke his within 2 days. Redcat does have extensive replacement parts available. The aluminum part we need costs more than the car itself. So the dilemma is to buy another plastic part which will more than likely break or shell out $ for an aluminum part. Also the reverse feature works when it wants, not consistent at all.

Buy from REDCAT
I purchased a Sumo Redcat Racer for my son for Christmas. He was so disappointed when he put the batteries in & it became extremelly hot & began to smoke. I returned the product to Redcat for repairs. Redcat fixed the truck and returned it to me with no additional charge and kept me informed with emails letting me know that 1. they were fixing it, 2. there was no charge, and 3.when it was finally shipped. This RC truck is super fast yet easy for my 10 year old to control. He LOVES it and REDCAT is a great company that stands by their products. So great to work with a company that actually follows through on their warranties :) Recommend you buy directly from Redcat, some companies out there will ship refurbished items. Not a cheap "toy" but worth the value if your child loves RC's!
Good value
The car is fast and built like a real hobby level car. This is not the type you get at a toy store. I'd expect it to cost more.
The bad news is that the smaller pieces do seem to break easier. We broke a tooth on the main differential in a couple hours and there are no metal replacements. For the part and shipping I think this is a $20 fix.

tough and fun
I bought one of these for me and one for my seven year old son.His has crashed into everything been jumped rolled over really abused.After all that he ended up breaking an axle had to order a new one the cost was minimal under five bucks with shipping arrived three days later was easy to fix and still going strong I cannot believe what these can put up with I let my four year old son drive mine and still no issues for the money you cant go wrong lots of fun really fast faster than I would have thought we are running rayovac platinum aa batteries run time is around an hour with these they do not run correctly on regular aa bats you need good nimh bats buy one you will love it .

Micro basher
This rc is great! for the price, you wont be sorry. This car features plastic parts everywhere using philips head screws throughout the entire truck. The body shell is quite tough and durable and withstood all of the crashes i put it through. the car runs off of 4AA batteries which last for about 45 minutes of run time. This car is off road capable taking on scale dirt, gravel, and short grass, and even sand! the newer versions of this truck come with 2.4ghz transmitters that take 3AA batteries to operate them. An absolute must buy upgrade would be the heat sync seeing as the motor can get piping hot to the touch. Also i recommend buying spare pinion gears and ball bearings for smoother rides and longer run times. It is quite easy to accidentally strip out a pinion gear. All in all this is a great buy and i would recommend this to children and adults of all ages.

I bought this truck and the blue flames one for my b/f for Christmas. He loves them! He's been looking into upgrades for them already. They zip around so fast! He has them doing backflips! Batteries definitely do make a difference in how fast these things move. You'll be surprised! And they are quite durable. Very cool and fun trucks! Fast shipping was great too! Thank you!
