Great RC for young Children
Bought this for my 5 yr old boy for Christmas. Truck runs slow enough so that he can control it (not like the speed cars that just smash into a wall seconds after the button is pushed). The control wheel is nice and truck has enough power to run outside in small rocks and grass. Most low end RC toys will not run except on flat surface. Only negative is price. I bought mine at Walmart for about $45. Same truck so shop around!

Rock crawler does really rock!
Got this for my grandson. The reviews looked good and I wanted something that really works outside on grass, dirt and small rocks. This does a great job of it at a good price.

Maisto True 4 wheel Drive Monster Truck
I bought 3 of these for my kids and I must say all work great and better then expected they have held up well the 3 different radio channels is a very big plus. Im getting about 30 minutes on 6 rayovac rechargebles or 40 minutes on 6 Duracell rechargebles wich is outstanding for 3 motors each the controller has 1 nine volt battery,when the steering starts to go you know the batteries are getting low. I have tried bigger monster trucks 2 wheel drive wich run for about 11 to 16 minutes and could not follow these off the path . These trucks will drive over down or up your average street curb the suspension works great . They are geared lower about 3-4 mph about a quick walk speed and will drive about anywhere available. My kids love them and I would or will buy them again if needed ..

A Kid's Review
This RC 4X4 really exceeded my twin 8 year old boys expectations. When they say rock crawler they mean it! This truck can climb steep hills, traverse fields, and go just about anywhere. The real 4 wheel drive and real suspension makes for a fun expereince. Also, the batteries last a very long time as well. I highly recommend.

AWESOME
My husband bought this for our 6 year old for his birthday and it is awesome. It's HUGE. It's probably the size of a small dog. Not small as in Chihuahua, but small as in Corgi. It runs really well, has good speed, good handling, easy to navigate with. It was worth the money. I'm not sure how durable it is since my son hasn't been let loose on it (his birthday isn't for another week, so he can't have it yet). I just tested it out for him. Let me say this. I tested it and would LOVE to keep it for myself. lol It's that awesome.

Tough & Fast
Fast car, lot of fun outdoors. It went through pretty thick grass better than I expected, but it's made for harder surfaces. Driving up a dirt hill is fun, the wheels spin out once they lose traction, which is better than not having ehough power.

You can take the top cover off similar to a real Baja car with little pins. Battery worked good, no issues. My dogs are a little wierded out by it ;>br />
Cat Chaser!
That is what I bought it for. Our cat needed a friend so I bought this to chase her around the house. However our cat doesn't take being chased to well so now she has started to chase it and has tackled it like a 49er linebacker. This car has plenty of power for the indoors and I'm sure would be fun outdoors. However our cat has it prisoner now so I don't think the car will ever see blue sky. I feel bad for the car.

Got what I paid for
Well, let me say, for the price of this RC car, I pretty much got what I thought I'd get. To start with, taking this thing out of the box initially was pretty annoying. They literally have the car screwed in to the box using those small electronics type phillips screwdriver screws and it took me a while to find a screwdriver small enough to work. Also, one of the side view mirrors on the Challenger had already fallen off in the box. It appears adhesive wasn't used for either of the side view mirrors and I had to correct that with some Krazy glue.
All that having been said, this is a fun little RC car and the detail and quality of the car other than the side view mirrors is pretty decent. It takes pretty well to being driven into chairs by accident or jumped over small bumps so far. The range of the controller is limited to about a large indoor room so don't expect to drive the car that far away from the controller. The layout of the controller is really simple and easy to...

The Maistro R/C 1:24 dodge is a pig. Drunk as I may be, it's a pig and a red pig. I hardly think any child would want a Dodge this fat and colorful. Mama never told us about red oinkers but Amazon gottem. Woo Hoo. You all are start'in to worry me!
Probably the best looking of the bunch
I bought a lot of these Maisto cars for Christmas. A Karmann Ghia, a mustang, a lambo...

They all worked well except the Karmann Ghia...

Although I am not a big fan of the dodge cars, this one looked the coolest. My nephew has pergo floors and it did donuts and 180s, and spinouts very nicely and looked very cool.

This is really because the tires don't have much traction, not because the RC car is powerful. Its not.

Everyone wanted a turn to play with it. As far as Christmas Day goes, it was very popular. Over time it loses its appeal.

The steering is limited, its all or nothing, and the accelerator is all or nothing too. There is no fine control, which means that any serious RC driving is practically impossible.

But for the price its fair. you can run it up a slight ramp and make it jump, or run it around the floor. You need a pretty large empty floor to have fun.

It was a OK product. I bought of the same kind. Issue I had is that the remotes of both of them interrupted each others which made my kids really unhappy.

Great R/C car
I have three sons so we must have had over 20 different styles/brands of R/C cars over the last five years, and this one is the best. My son got the yellow Mustang for Christmas last year, and I ordered my younger son the same thing this year. This car is GREAT for younger kids for 3 reasons:

1: Rechargeable battery! My kids are always forgetting to turn the cars off when they're done playing, and with R/C cars sucking 4-6 AA's, leaving them on totally drains them and was becoming a huge expense! Plus it was always so annoying to try and figure out- are the batteries dead or is there something wrong with the car? Or is it the controller? Etc. The rechargeable battery is a total life saver!

2: 3 Channels! This remote control car has 3 channels- a MUST when you have multiple kids who want to play at once! With other cars, I was always having to explain to them that they can't play with this car and this car at the same time, and they were always getting frustrated...

Not just for little boys!
My 10-year-old granddaughter received this for Christmas. She had not asked for it, but it turned out to be the toy that she has played with the most. It is quite fast and maneuvers well in forward and reverse. The remote is comfortable and she adjusted to it easily. It has run into walls, been pounced upon by small dogs and it shows no signs of wear. An easy 5 stars for fun and durability. Even though it is not teaching her any subjects she might study in school, I give a solid 4 stars for educational value because it is great for eye-hand coordination and judging angles which should count for something!
A Little Disappointed
I originally bought this truck for my 4 year old niece. It is sturdy and durable. I personally banged it into things to test it because I know how rough she can be and she has done a little banging herself. So far so good. It does ride well on carpet and even better on hardwoods or concrete. The controller is fun. It has a little steering wheel which really helps teach hand eye coordination.

The only reason it is not rated higher for me is that the range is not as great as I had hoped. It is nowhere near as great as the Hot Wheels Toyota remote control truck (the red one) I ultimately gave her. You have to be within 15- 20 feet of the truck to control it and what fun is that to have to run behind the remote control car. I even tried changing the batteries and putting fresh good quality ones in (Energizers) to see if that helped. Alas, no. Bt I will point out that in the 2 months I have had this truck here, the 4 year old does not appear to mind running behind the...

A Great Value, Surprisingly Fun
I pored over reviews for RC trucks for days trying to find something for my 6 year old's birthday. He typically retains an interest in a new toy for a short amount of time, so I didn't want to spend very much money on it; however, I didn't want it to break before he was done with it, which this product is perfect for.

The Good Stuff:

-It worked out of the box with no special hoops to jump through - just put in some fresh batteries and slide the plastic antenna cover on (tie a knot in the top of the antenna so it doesn't fly off).

-Came in the blue body/white top style, very nice

-Good range: I could operate it 20-30 feet away with no problem (assuming line of sight)

-Surprisingly fast: I would have to jog reasonably fast to keep up with it

-Good wheel/body clearance - you can drive it over small obstacles in the house and it does well with thresholds, carpet, small sticks, and small rocks/gravel. It does best on...
False advertising
The description of this item includes, "equipped with Maestro's Tri-Channel Transmitter". That is not true. The transmitter is only 27 MHZ with no way to change that frequency. I purchased two of these remote control trucks for my children to play with together, but because the transmitters are on the same frequency, they conflict with each other. I need to return one of the trucks.

Good value for the money
I bought this for my nine-year-old son. He's played with it about a week, and it's still holding up, which is impressive for an inexpensive RC in my house.

It takes just two AA batteries, and one 9V for the controller. He has several hours on the batteries, which again, is impressive considering the price.

Generally you get what you pay for in RC cars. I've had more expensive vehicles that were less durable. For a "toy" this one has impressed me. If you want something more rugged, rechargeable, or something you can race against others, this isn't your car. If you want an inexpensive gift for a nine-year-old, this line of cars is a good choice.

Stepson loved it
Ordered this as a christmas present for my stepson. He loved it! A little difficult for a beginner to control, but overall good toy. Good quality and seems durable.
Wrong color
Ordered this product for my little sister as an introductory toy for radio controlled cars. The picture of the car is white, however when I received the product it was yellow. Kind of took away the cool factor for a Christmas present.

Car runs fine. Just a little disappointing to find that the color was not how I thought it was and that I was blindly led to believe I was buying the car that was in the picture.

Any obstructions on the ground and the vehicle gets stuck. The tires are about a 1/2 centimeter off the ground, so that is it for clearance.

Sometimes if you love RC control you need to re-aim the antenna to the vehicle.

My son likes it!
My 11 year old son loves cars and thinks this one is really cool. It has gotten marked up in 1 week (probably due to ramming into things), but the performance is still what it should be. Good handling and nice speed for a rc car.

Fast & Rugged
Fast car, lot of fun outdoors. It went through pretty thick grass better than I expected, but it's made for harder surfaces. Driving up a dirt hill is fun, the wheels spin out once they lose traction, which is better than not having ehough power.

You can take the top cover off similar to a real Baja car with little pins. Battery worked good, no issues. Mt dogs are a little wierded out by it ;>br />

Really Fun!
This is one of the best toys ever! Even though I got the wrong model (I got the original instead of the improved model) it is still very fun. After a while, some parts broke off when it did a few jumps that flipped upside-down and failed. Also, the tube that holds the antenna up looks like a piece of trash, so it got thrown away. The charge is 8hours the first two times, and 5 hours after that, so I am getting another battery at

and another charger at

that charge is not a con, or a pro, because it makes it so that it keeps your interest,but it makes you set a schedule to unplug it at the right time.

A Kid's Review
I was looking for a Christmas present for my son and this R/C beast caught my eye. First of all it looks bad a**. The colors and the body just scream power. I watched some reviews online and yes even though it runs pretty well on the grass and up and down little hills, I see that it might not be very responsive but remember that this is a toy for kids. Grown-ups if you want an R/C car go Pro =P.
